Jet2holidays, the UK’s largest tour operator, has received the top accolade for their implementation of Thrive. They used Thrive to create a new learning, management and communication platform within their Customer Contact Centre.
Introduced in Autumn 2022, following feedback from colleagues, we combined e-learning, upskilling, communications and collaborative knowledge sharing across one platform. As an accessible one-stop shop for colleagues in the Customer Contact Centre, the platform allows colleagues to easily find the information and learning they need to deliver Jet2holidays’ award-winning VIP customer service.
Now in their 31st year, the Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards recognise best practices for initiatives in Learning and Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Sales Performance, Diversity, Equity and inclusion, and the Future of Work.
The awards are based on a range of criteria, including delivery of the programme, measurable benefits, and overall impact. As Jet2holidays received the highest number of points against these benchmarks, the company was awarded the Gold accolade for Best Use of Social Collaborative Learning.
This latest accolade follows Jet2holidays being named Best Large Company to work for at the second annual Best Workplaces in Travel awards earlier this year. Based on the views and responses of employees in the travel industry, the tour operator picked up this award in recognition of the way it continues to support and develop its workforce.
Sean Ablett, Customer Contact & Jet2holidays Operations Director said:
“We are delighted to be awarded the Gold accolade at the Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards for the introduction of our new e-learning platform. Our colleagues are the driving force behind our continued success, so it is absolutely critical they feel empowered, engaged and connected. Thanks to Thrive, we have been able to create this new platform that combines e-learning upskilling, communications and collaborative knowledge, to enable colleagues to connect with one another and develop their knowledge to look after our customers. To win this award is brilliant news and strengthens our position as a great place to work, while highlighting our commitment to continually improving our colleague experience.”
Cassie Gasson, Chief Marketing Officer at Thrive, added:
“This prestigious award recognises Jet2holidays’ passion and commitment to innovation and the development of their people.
It celebrates all the work both teams have put into implementing a seamless and successful learning platform that's social and brings their teams together.
We're over the moon to support and enable such a forward-thinking company and so excited to see what the future of this dynamic partnership holds."
