No matter which LMS you’re using, we’re well experienced in helping organisations big and small migrate from their existing solution. We built an LMS migration tool that imports your users, completion history and content directly from your current learning platform into Thrive, so you and your learners don’t miss a thing.
It may be a tool we’re using, but we’re with you every step of the way, guiding you through the process as part of your implementation and onboarding phase.
Our LMS migration tool is designed specifically to help L&D teams move their legacy learning history from platforms at the click of a button. This means your new Learning Platform will be complete with all your tracked learning records from day one.
Whether it’s videos, SCORM files, pdfs, articles or presentations, your content is what keeps your LMS alive and fresh so we understand you don’t always want to start from scratch. We’ll make sure when you switch your LMS all your content items are fully intact - you can use it as an opportunity to tidy up your tagging strategy too!
Of course, Thrive uses single-sign on to authenticate users based on the identify management software you use, but if your use case is more complex for example you might be supporting non-email users, you can import all the users from your current platform directly into Thrive for a seamless admin and learner experience.

We can migrate any of your below content formats: E-Learning (SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, TinCan, xAPI, CMI5) Word processor files (.pdf) Video files (.mp4, .mpg, .wmv, .avi, .mov, .webm) Image files (.png, .jpg, .gif, .svg) Articles Links
The metadata required alongside the files would be: Unique Identifier File name Content Title (3 - 100 characters) Description (Up to 1000 characters) publishedAt (Date) Language (if applicable.) File name is important and can be used as the ID between the file and the metadata.
We can migrate from any LMS, LXP or learning platform you’re using. As long as we have cooperation from your current provider and you have the right agreement in place for us to access and transfer your data over, we can do it.
The time it takes to complete migration and onboarding depends on your involvement and speed in which we can access the data from your current platform. We typically see companies who are focused complete the transition within two and a half months but others may take longer depending on your migration and implementation approach. Fun fact: Our quickest implementation has been 30 days and the longest 126 days!
