The need for a “go-to” place for learning

As a collaborative organisation, Sopro identified a need for a platform that would enable them to make their learning accessible and encourage peer-to-peer knowledge sharing. Learning was taking place across different teams, but there was a lack of consistency which meant there were silos that needed to be broken down.

Sopro was growing fast, bringing a whole new set of challenges. Onboarding a large number of employees meant they had to facilitate faster speed-to-competency and look at reducing the overall cost of onboarding. They were also keen to enable skill development within the organisation – both for the roles people are already in, but also to help employees move into new areas across the business.

The power of user generated content

The team identified Thrive as a partner to help them on their journey, and loved the early exploration sessions where they were able to hone in on exactly what was going to help them succeed.

Sopro already had a desire within the leadership team to enable user-generated content and peer learning across the teams, and with Thrive in place, it’s so much easier for them to achieve this. They’re consistently finding that they don’t have to work hard at all in order to get people to use the platform; the staff naturally gravitate towards it! A great early example has been a video competition run through Thrive that was based solely on user generated content; an initiative that was extremely successful.

Wellbeing, diversity and inclusion

In an effort to cultivate a culture of wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, SoPro has allocated specific “Wellbeing Champions” within the business who can provide non-judgmental, confidential chats to anyone who might be struggling. Utilising Thrive's custom-built pathways on these very topics, the team at SoPro train their people on topics that matter most to them as a business. Everything takes place within the Thrive platform, so it's easy to access and refer back to later.

The results for these specific campaigns have been phenomenal. Just since launch, Sopro has gained:
